Last week, I blogged about my trip to Coco Shabu. This week, I introduce you to Maru Shabu (마루 샤브진주점)! It has a similar concept as it serves buffet food, wraps, and shabu shabu. However, I enjoyed Maru Shabu more because their buffet options offered more variety. The vegetables were also more extensive than the ones in Coco Shabu.
Sushi: Salmon, Squid, Yellowtail, Shrimp
Chinese Korean Fusion: Jjajangmyun, Tangsooyuk, Bokkeumbap
Korean Food: Ddeokbokki, Japchae, Dotorimuk, and many more dishes
Salad Bar: Goguma salad, Pumpking Salad, Caesar Salad, Garden Salad, Make your own salad
Shabu Shabu Side: Noodles, Assorted vegetables, Dumplings, Fish Cakes, Meat, Seafood
Dessert: Yogurt and toppings, Soft Serve Ice Cream, Cakes, Cookies, Red Bean Jelly, Fruits, Chocolate Fondue
Unlike Coco Shabu, Maru Shabu only offers one soup base and it is the mild one. This time it was a mix between Vietnamese Pho and Korean Galbi-Tang. The soup was great and since the weather was cold and rainy outside, it was the perfect meal.
I recommend checking this restaurant out before Coco Shabu because it offers more side dish options for your soup. The restaurant is also bigger and offers more seatings. To top it off, the design is really interesting. Although, it is a simple buffet style restaurant they showcase glass cases of wine bottles around the restaurant offering a more luxurious dining experience!
Address: Pyeonggeo-dong, Jinju-si, Gyeongsangnam-do
